寄养家庭:急救与心肺复苏标准
First Aid & CPR Puerto Rico
Being a foster home in Puerto Rico means offering a temporary, safe home to a minor who has been removed from their family due to abuse or neglect. Among the requirements to certify the home is, expressly, a first-aid certificate.
急救要求
In Puerto Rico, the certification of foster homes is administered by the Departamento de la Familia, in coordination with specialized organizations and under the framework of the Family First Prevention Services Act. Among the requirements to certify the home is a Certificado de Primeros Auxilios (first-aid certificate), together with the Sex Offender Registry certificate (Ley 300), a medical and vaccination certificate, a home safety evaluation and a criminal background check. CPR training commonly accompanies first aid in preparing foster parents.
The first-aid certificate is recognized by the Departamento de la Familia as part of the home's certification and must be kept current. This requirement is in addition to — not a replacement for — the home study, reference letters and suitability conditions required to take in a minor.
